PLAYROOM INTERIOR DESIGN
In-Site Interior Designers have the privilege of being involved with renovating and upgrading The Bay Club Condominiums Community Center. We’ve completed the design of many areas throughout the building, but one of our favorites has been The Playroom – exclusively designed for the children and families in the building.
Playroom Interiors Designed To Attract NYC Residents
For this NYC playroom interior design, our focus was to create a welcoming, safe, and fun environment for children and their caregivers to enjoy. With bright colors and endless opportunities for imagination, the area is a room where children can learn and grow through design.
As designers, it’s important to understand our client’s needs through constant communication, open discussion, and research to find the ultimate style and design the client is most excited about. For the Playroom, we had full rein to create a special space.
We developed a theme, “The Woodland Park”, selected colors and furnishings, and fully met the client’s goal of creating a space that would attract kids and families. Now an amenity to bring new families into the building, the playroom represents a forward-thinking, quality residential building that is more appealing in today’s competitive condo market.
Promote Learning Through Playroom Interior Design
For the flooring, we chose wood-look Luxury Vinyl Tile for durability and easy cleanability. Shades of green carpeting simulate grass and keep with the theme. Shaped marine grade plywood and blue wavy glass mosaics over watery blue vinyl tile create a “waterfall” and a wooden playhouse is a cabin in the woods, complete with an interior playhouse kitchen.
The mountain mural shifts to a dusky sky complete with Adirondack chairs and a “campfire” composed of fun pillows and lanterns. Small wildlife art, baskets, and kids’ chairs round out the accents to complete the outdoor theme.
