AWARD WINNING INTERIOR DESIGN

This Bayside Condominium Interior Design won First Place in Interiors by AIA Queens 2024.

With a focus on promoting community and conversation, In-Site Interior Design completely redesigned the Lounge, the central amenity hub for the residents of the two towers that comprise this upscale condominium. This phase of the full Clubhouse interior design addressed not only the central Lounge itself but also the facility’s Card Room and Banquet Hall. Where some higher end finishes and details were selected for the Banquet Hall, the adjoining Card Room has companion materials that were more economical.

In-Site designers relied on texture to enhance this design, with dimensional wallcovering lining the common areas and giving them some prominence. This bright white and grey pattern is the perfect backdrop for the benches’ warm wood tones, and the strong blues in the mosaic tiles and artwork. Those elements prevent the corridor from feeling monotonous as they serve an integral part of the design. Incorporating natural materials such as stone and wood introduces warmth, setting a calming tone.

A recently completed phase of this project is the design and construction of the underground passage between the two Bay residential towers. This Concourse Level Corridor allows residents and guests to move from building to building without going outside, great for avoiding extreme weather. It also includes a convenience store, beauty salon, and dry cleaner. Management and residents are happy to have an outdated corridor become invigorated with color, lighting, and imagination.

Long overdue for an upgrade for it’s multi-family residents, In-Site interior designers created a contemporary and fresh look for the swimming pool. The pool corridor includes a modern ADA compliant shower for the residents to use for a quick rinse after using the pool. The rear wall has a multi-colored mosaic tile for a nice finishing detail as you exit the pool area near the locker rooms. This area is now a proud feature of this condo property design and amenity package.

The Playroom, exclusively designed for the children and families in the building, features the theme “A Walk in The Woods.” With a mountainous wall mural, a cabin to explore, and a “waterfall” structure of waves and curvilinear mosaic tiles to walk below the “waterfall”, the space is an imaginative play area.
