UPPER WEST SIDE APARTMENT DESIGN
Urban, Approachable, Striking
In-Site interior designers wrapped up 2020 with a complete design for a fast paced, move-in-ready luxury apartment in the newly finished One Waterline Square complex on the Upper West Side in Manhattan. It was a fast-paced end to a challenging year as the apartment decorator had 6 weeks to complete the design, construction and installation to meet the client’s move in date. The contemporary furnishings and color palette perfectly accompany the breathtaking view over the Hudson River effortlessly.
Interior designers went straight to work on determining shorter lead time options with modern style to create a cohesive design throughout the Upper West Side apartment. Adding wallcovering in key areas and a new paint scheme creates personality and texture to each of the spaces. Selecting a contractor and electrician was also top of the to-do list. Construction coordination of new ceiling soffits and pendant light fixtures in the Dining Room and Master Bedroom serve as sculpture as well as functionality.
In the Foyer, a contemporary graphic wallcovering from Wolf Gordon is proudly featured, setting the tone for a masculine Upper West Side Apartment bachelor pad. A polished chrome console table with black and blue accents was selected from the apartment decorator to enliven the space. Moving down the hallway, the resident is greeted by strong architectural framed artwork bringing color and strength to the light grey walls. The primary bedroom features RH Modern furniture which perfectly compliment the deep grey’d blue walls and Zoffany textured wallcovering, creating a cozy haven after a long day. The apartment design is rounded out with the office and guest bedroom mixing the homeowner’s furniture with some new pieces to bring new life to the rooms. Accessories, kitchen cookware and dinnerware are all new for a fresh start in this new high-rise.

During the furnishing orders, a snow storm hit while the sofa was in transit from California and reorders of the mini pendants after an incorrect inventory assessment did not derail the timeline. Maneuvering through the chaos of backorders and shipping delays, not only through the winter holiday season, but with the pandemic’s own obstacles was no easy task. However, in the end the client was very pleased with the final design and selections, creating a comfortable and personalized place to call home.
“Elizabeth and her team did a fantastic job designing, purchasing, organizing delivery, and installing a full 3 bedroom apartment basically from scratch. I was particularly pleased with In-Site's creative ideas. Elizabeth went out of her way to meticulously organize the delivery.”
